THE RV
I guess I should start this blog off with an introduction, right? My name is Joe and I am a recent graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art. I received a BFA in Industrial Design from CIA and I also have a BS in Marketing from the University of Akron.
During my last semester at CIA I decided I was going to go on a long RV trip upon graduation. In January 2018 I found a 1979 Chevy G30 “Honey” RV on eBay. It was located in Pittsburg (about 2 hours from Cleveland). I drove out there to look at it and decided it was a good starting point. I paid $2350 for it and drove it back to Cleveland.
I thought I was going to work on it slowly as I worked full-time and went to school full-time but that definitely didn’t happen. The RV sat in a garage from January to November basically untouched. I started working on it Thanksgiving 2018…
